Bikes 'R' Me

My Favorite Room. The frame in the stand was supposed to be a project to work on throughout the year. Pick out just the right parts, experiment with different bars and gears. Now it's a necessity. A way to get to work. This is because the bike on the left is no more. It ceases to be. Makes me a little sad just looking at it in pre-collision form. But in the end, better to have mangled steel than mangled bone.

The Other Capitol Hill

Lost treasures of our neighborhood. These are the original columns from the U.S. Capitol building. They were tossed out years ago and have been resurrected on the grounds of the National Arboretum in Northeast DC. I have nothing terribly witty to add. Just a great place to visit. Enid Bagnold (1889-1981), British novelist, playwright.

Basil is only two. But I think he gets it.

DCsign

Too many lawyers in this town. Even the bike racks have disclaimers. I am surprised nobody has stolen this sign. Likely thieves probably can't figure out how to get past the duct tape. Chalk one up for the Department of Homeland Security.

Starting Over...

Started this blog a couple of years ago. Did a poor job keeping up. We will see how it goes, eh?
